SRJJ: Meganuron

During the digging and construction of a brand new subway-line deep beneath the city, an astonishing discovery was made. The workers had stumbled upon a large cavity, filled with remains from giant, prehistoric insects as well as something that appeared to be a giant egg.

In order to make sense of their mysterious origin, everything was sent to the National Museum of Nature and Science where it could be properly studied. However, one night, just a few days after their arrival, disaster struck.

The egg had hatched and the security guards were found dead. Torn apart by what could only be claws of enormous proportions. A trail of their blood could then be followed, leading down the sewers before disappearing into the dark depths.

Weeks passed without any news that could help shed some light on this mysterious event. The Police Department were not of much help since they had their own hands full with investigating a series of strange dissapearances, as well as reports that told of sightings of clawed, man sized monstrosities. To make matters even worse, the city was forced to deal with the worst flooding in recent history...!
